Dear: David,
It was an absolute pleasure listening to what you had to say about your novel Fly Away Peter. Can I say as an aspiring English and History Teacher I felt deeply connected to your novel. Your vivid description and factual knowledge impresses me. During the lecture, you answered many questions that I wanted to know and bought to my attention many things, such as your reasons behind your characters, their relationships and your love for bird life. I find it so fascinating that you actually wrote the novel in Italy, yet returned to Australia to fill in the gaps and research bird life and life during WW1. It was an absolute honor to listen to your words of wisdom and to be in your presence.
